Six Italian construction equipment manufacturers (Fiori, Ihimer, Indeco, Komatsu Utility Europe, New Holland, Simex) set up Unacea, which joins the European Federation Cece. The first president is Enrico Santini (Fiori).
Already rooted in earthmoving and attachments, Unacea begins to expand its scope of work towards concrete machinery.
The campaign to enhance the culture of mixing in plants starts.
The threshold of 40 member companies is crossed. Paolo Venturi (Ihimer) is elected president.
Unacea expands its membership to include tower cranes and drilling equipment manufacturers; it organizes collective participation of Italian companies in all the most important international trade fairs in the sector worldwide. The campaign for the protection of the urban environment with less pollutant machines begins.
The Cece presidency is assigned to Unacea with Enrico Prandini (Komatsu Italia Manufacturing). Mirco Risi is elected president of the Italian association.
Unacea celebrates 10 years welcoming the Italian importers who elect their representatives in the board of directors and contribute to complete the project of a unified association representing all the construction equipment companies in Italy. There are more than 70 members and the turnover represented is about 82% of the total sector turnover. The campaign on tenders and attachments for recycling and selective demolition is launched.
The companies of engines for construction equipment joined the association.
Michele Vitulano is the new president.
Unacea celebrates its 15th anniversary and reaches the record of around 90 member companies, representing 80% of the production and commercial sector for all types of construction equipment: earthmoving machines, road machines, concrete equipment, drilling machines, tower cranes and attachments.
