SAMPIERANA S.p.A. JOINS UNACEA

Sampierana Spa has joined Unacea. The new member is a historical Italian company famous for the production of undercarriages and, under Eurocomach brand, miniexcavators, skid steer loaders, track loaders, articulated loaders and backhoe loaders, dumpers. Sampierana was founded in 1950 in San Piero in Bagno (Forlì-Cesena), where are located its plants that cover an area of 82 thousand square meters. Sampierana employs around 180 people and sells its products in 21 countries.

"We have decided to join Unacea – said Cesare Para, co-owner, together with his brother Moreno, of Sampierana S.p.A. – because we share the necessity to create a united construction equipment association so as to let the voice of the whole sector be heard both in Italy, among public stakeholders, and in Europe. We need a trade representation enhancing the quality, safety and efficency of our products through, for example, the institution of a register aimed to ensure compliance of the products with safety and environmental rules, contrast the import of non-compliant machines, as well as machine thefts and resale, both in Italy and abroad. We also wished to be part of a statistical system enabling both a quantification of the division and a monitoring of market trends, while safeguarding the non disclosure of the single company data."
