Italian firms ready to take part in Ctt, Moscow
Monacofiere and Unacea form an agreement
to re-launch the internationalization of Italian SMEs. The first stage is Russia, a country of construction equipment boom
Monacofiere (the Italian representative of Bauma, the world’s leading trade fair of construction equipment) and Unacea have entered into a collaboration agreement to support the internationalization of the sector’s firms on some important markets worldwide. The first scheduled initiative is Italy’s collective participation in the annual trade show Ctt taking place in Moscow from 29th May to 2nd June 2012.
After the 2009 drop, when the sales of construction equipment in Russia were reduced to little more than 2 thousand units, in 2010 the market started growing again quadrupling its volumes, and for 2011 a total of more than 18 thousand machines sold is foreseen. Moreover, according to the forecasts made known at the Cece Summit last month, over the next three years there should be a growth rate of 20% in 2012, 15% in 2013 and 12% in 2014; in 2014 the number of sold units may arrive at 40 thousand.
“Despite the good intentions shown in Rome with the General states of foreign trade last 28th October – declares Michele Vitulano, Unacea councillor appointed to internationalization – the rebirth, after the suppression of Ice, of an Italian agency for foreign trade is still being delayed. Italian companies, however, cannot miss the few business opportunities that are foreseen in the next months. There are dates and deadlines to be met. Thanks to this collaboration with Monacofiere, Italian SMEs will be able to exhibit jointly at Ctt. Of course, we will keep on fighting all the same to obtain a new kind of public support for foreign trade: a support more focused on our sector, which has been neglected over the last years.”
“With this initiative – adds Davide Galli, Monacofiere CEO – we want to be at the Italian SMEs’ disposal by offering them the opportunity to present themselves as united and recognizable through a ‘turnkey’ service, thus preventing the loss of energies and maximizing the economies and the impact of Italian-made products, also regarding their image.”
Ctt is the most important trade fair of construction equipment in the Russian Federation. According to the data divulged by the organisers, at last edition, which took place this year, there were 790 exhibitors from 27 countries on an exhibition area of more than 116 thousand square meters. The event was attended by more than 28 thousand visitors. Monacofiere (www.monacofiere.com) is the Italian representative of Ctt, as well as of other important international trade exhibitions such as Bauma, Bauma China and Bc India.
