Caterpillar joins Unacea

Caterpillar joins Unacea through the Italian entity Caterpillar Prodotti Stradali, based in Minerbio, Bologna. Established in 1910, Caterpillar has turned from an American tractor manufacturer to a multi-business global reality. With 2017 sales and revenues of $45.462 billion, Caterpillar is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. The company principally operates through its three primary segments - Construction Industries, Resource Industries and Energy & Transportation - and also provides financing and related services through its Financial Products segment.

“Our Italian customers, dealer and employees matter greatly to us – said Roberto Lorenzoni, Caterpillar’s Italy Country Director. Unacea has progressively affirmed itself as a legitimate voice for Italian construction equipment companies and with our membership we want to contribute to making this voice heard in Italy and in the European Union”.

With the membership of Caterpillar, Unacea increases its representativeness of the industry of construction equipment with construction and road equipment and asphalt pavers, in addition to tower cranes, earth-moving machines, concrete equipment and drilling machines.
